Telehealth ROCKS Missouri

Focus:

Provide Integrated telebehavioral health in rural school district primary care settings to ensure that every student receives the support they need.

About:

The Telehealth ROCKS Missouri network will utilize the range of telehealth and broader health technologies to improve access to integrated behavioral health services and expand and improve the quality of health information and training available to health/healthcare providers, school personnel, community members from child-serving organizations, and students and families. 


Funding:

This program is funded by HRSA through the Evidence‐Based Tele‐Behavioral Health Network Program Grant # UL8TH53328. 

Components:

Specialty behavioral health and other clinical services.

Community Health Workers in Missouri school districts: Eldon, South Callaway and Kennett.

Clinical, community and social service partnerships to create a robust and comprehensive network.

Goals:

  • Goal 1: Facilitated by community health workers imbedded in the rural primary care environment (schools) and Telehealth ROCKS’ well-established community advisory board, increase the engagement and strengthen partnerships among students, families, primary care (schools), telebehavioral health providers, and broader community partners to better meet social determinants of health needs and to increase adoption of evidence-based integrated telebehavioral health. 
  • Goal 2: Building on primary care behavioral health and telebehavioral health best practices, increase the number of rural students and families receiving evidence-based prevention services. 
  • Goal 3: Building on primary care behavioral health and telebehavioral health best practices, increase the number of rural students and families receiving evidence-based assessments and treatment.
  • Goal 4: Leveraging THR-MO network and KUMC training programs, advance interprofessional trainee competencies around: rural engagement, partnership, and teamwork (Goal 1); evidence-based integrated telebehavioral health prevention strategies (Goal 2); evidence-based integrated telebehavioral health assessment, treatment and follow-up strategies (Goal 3); and evaluation of impact (overall program).
