Dr. Matthew Desmond, a Pulitzer Prize-winner, New York Times Bestselling author, and Princeton professor, digs deep into the roots of poverty in America. Using his award-winning books "Evicted" and "Poverty, By America," he shares powerful stories that show how poverty really works in our country.
As the founder of Princeton's Eviction Lab, Dr. Desmond helps people understand that poverty isn't just about individual choices, but about bigger systems that keep people struggling. He challenges us to think differently about why some people can't escape poverty and how we might create real, lasting change.
Through his work, Dr. Desmond highlights the incredible resilience of communities and the potential for meaningful transformation when we work together.
